Apparently this feature seems to have disappeared in the newest version of 1.06?
Also it now appears that when a reminder previously programmed in DoogiePIM
does pop-up to remind you, that the "Dismiss" and "Dismiss All" no longer work.
But if I click snooze it then lets me dismiss it. Or the snooze took affect. Might have
been a delayed response to snooze though, not sure.

    Confirmed.
I will fix it for the next update that is planned next week.

    Happy new year to everyone.

Possibly fixed in version 1.0.6.1. Please download the latest build and let me know if it's okay.

  4. Sorry no it's still not working for me using 1.0.6.1. Also not sure if default download folder setting is implemented? Thanks.

    Which part doesn't work?

    1. List of sounds in the "choose alarm sound" dropdown?
    2. The Dismiss or Dismiss All, when clicked doesn't make the dialog go away?
    3. Other? "Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

I've tested the Sounds dropdown and Dismiss functions on both portable and installed version of a fresh database. All seem fine.

    "The game is afoot."

The "download folder" is included in a new feature to do with the Downloads in the doBrowser. Due by the end of this month. Possibly in version 1.0.7.

  7. For example if I'm viewing my 7 day calendar and I double click 3pm today, I get a pop-up box that says Add/Edit Calendar event. I'm including the image here and where the red circle is, is where those used to show up in a nice tidy place.

In addition to the above, the hourly or quarterly chimes and pop-up window for the chimes are no longer working as well. Everything related to sounds and reminders seems to be on somewhat of a walk-about! All these issues seem to have been introduced since 1.0.6

After many days and nights, looking through endless lines of code, (FYI: doogiePIM compiles to 2.1 million lines), I have finally figured out why the alarms and reminders are not working.....

.... You've put doogiePIM into Do Not Disturb mode. This means you've disabled alarms and notifications.

A classic case of not seeing the wood for the trees.

This did highlight a bug in the Sounds dropdown though, so thank you for this. :)

Thanks again Chris for your hard work. As a suggestion though, since it seems fairly easy to inadvertently turn that on or off, perhaps adding a "Are you sure you want to disable alarms" dialog box pop up when a user clicks that icon. I never did it on purpose so I somehow carelessly must have clicked it without realizing it. And it sits directly under the "X" menu at the top. In addition, may I suggest, that perhaps the "Add/Edit Calendar Event" window shouldn't have the entire Reminder section removed but rather just grayed out with a "Disabled" label and an option to "Enable" the reminders and alarms from that location as well as the alarm clock icon at the very top. I believe this would help alleviate the potential for this ever again being a problem for anyone now and into the future. Thank you as always for your diligence.
