Bug Documents section import .RTF files

Lately I have imported a lot of .RTF files in the Documents Section and today I noticed that letters like ë or ü and é or ó and ø are skipped.
The original files are OK so this must be a bug in doogiePIM.

    Have a nice day

I'm working on the Documents section today so I'll take a look into it. I would appreciate it if you could send me a very simple RTF example to me, by email .

Many thanks for reporting. You lot are really keeping me busy ;) But I love it. :)

  3. I have send you 2 documents. The first file is generated with my old PIM.
In preparation of the files you requested, I noticed however that after editing and saving the document in my wordprocessor (the second file I send you) there are no problems when importing in doogiePIM.
So, the problem is more related to my old PIM I suppose.
But, both documents are OK when you read them in Wordpad.

Received with thanks. I imported both files into Documents and came through without a problem. I also tried viewing both with the built-in email attachment viewer as raw RTF and both were correctly displayed.

  5. @Chris Received with thanks. I imported both files into Documents and came through without a problem.

Hmm, I then wonder what's causing the problem on my side.
Anyway, I have all my documents in doogiePIM after some corrections due to incorrect importing in doogiePIM

Good news. I re-tested on a Windows 10 machine with the language set to Dutch. I found the File/Import to fail, leaving out the special characters. However, creating a blank document, then using "Insert file.." worked perfectly.

I've scheduled the File/Import fix for the next update.

    Many thanks for highlighting this.

  7. Great news. I am glad you could test this with a Dutch version of Windows 10 !!!! :)
    Your support is Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ;)

    Have a nice day

  8. Version 1.1.1.7:
Creating a blank document, then using "Insert file.." worked perfectly.
Creating a blank document, then drag & drop a file on the blank document also works.
Menu/File/Import/Import from file: the special characters where left out.
Updated to version 1.1.1.7 doogiePIM.exe only

    Ooops, wrong thread :S
I should have placed it here....

    Please try this version: https://bitespire.com/testbuilds/doogiePIM.exe

I suspect you don't have the latest version. You can confirm this by going to the Menu/Help/About doogiePIM.
