doogiePIM version 2.0.0.7 is now available for download on the main download page:
    https://bitespire.com/download.php

Quite a lot has been added since version 1.2, hence the major upgrade.
You can read the full history of changes here:
    https://bitespire.com/doogiepim_history.php
It's a long read so grab a coffee.

You will also notice there's an upgrade licence key requirement.
I've written details of how to get the new key here:
    https://bitespire.com/purchase.php

If you are going to try out DP2 (doogiePIM2), I would suggest you install DP2 to its new folder "C:\BiteSpire\doogiePIM2", then optionally copy your v1 *.doo databases into the new Data Files folder. Always make a backup of your databases before opening them. I hope you backup often anyway, its good practice to do that once a day.

I do hope you like the new changes and, as always, drop your thoughts here - good or bad.

Hi Chris, Could we get a refresher "how-to" explaining how to move "all" our data and settings to the new folder? Including reports, and background settings for homepage, etc. So that it's exactly the same setup as 1.2? If I recall there are several other files that need to be copied aside from the .doo database file. Thank you.

    Does this help?

Yes it does help. Thanks. However, My reports are not showing up in Version 2. I've shutdown any instance of DoogiePIM and copied the entire contents of "Data Files" and sub-folders into the new doogiepim2 data file, and have most everything except reports. I'll work out the colors of my interface and background picture later, which neither transferred as well. I did note that some of those may not update due to using a single .INI file as it appears rather than several .INI files as was used in version 1.x...
In addition, and might be creating some problem, I've directed the .doo database to a different drive off my SSD drive. Since I did that, would all those data files then need to be on the "D" Drive rather than in the default program folder?

Your doo database can be located anywhere, it doesn't have to be in the Data Files folder.

Reports: Try using the main menu "File\Open Existing Report Settings" then select your custom *.dor file.

Settings that relate to the UI such as colours will now be in the new Data Files\SettingsAndPreferences.ini file.

  6. Thanks Chris. Using File Open method got them loaded. As a side question, can all the data files and reports etc, be located in a different drive or only the *.doo database file can be? If not, as a suggestion, maybe changing the code to say that where ever you direct doogiePIM to find the *.doo database file, then all the other related data files would also need to be there. Many of us with SSD drives want to be able to store all program data on a different drive and only use the SSD drive for applications only.
