New user here, and I'm very glad to have stumbled across this information about how to install the MiniBar editor. Many thanks! Another wonderful feature in a brilliantly designed app. :-D

I also have a quick question: I understand that customizing the MiniBar is an advanced option and that, for this reason, it has not been included in the main application.

However, is there any reason a link for downloading and installing the MiniBar can't be provided on the error message page, along with a brief explanation that this is an advanced feature?

The reason I ask is that when I ran into the "can't be found" error message, I thought it was a bug, which is not a good impression to leave with a new user. ;-)

It would also be great for those of us who DO want to install it to have a quick way to jump directly to the download link.
