Limit on # of Levels of Nested Tasks?

What is the current limit on the number of levels for creating nested sub-tasks?

I'm on day #2 of my free trial and I just discovered that I can move child tasks under a parent 3 levels deep, but they don't stay there. (They keep popping back out to the top level.) So far, it looks like only one parent/child relationship is allowed on our tasks.
    -- Is this correct?

Since I routinely nest my tasks fairly deeply when they are not time sensitive or they are dependent steps in a critical path, this deep nesting a very important feature for me.

If unlimited nesting is NOT currently available, is it planned for future development?

    With appreciation and interest,

I've now been able to nest tasks 4 levels deep (instead of just 2), but level #5 is now "popping" out of it's nested position, and taking levels 6 & 7 out along with it.

The end result is illustrated below:

Is this a bug, or am I just pushing doogiePIM beyond what it is designed to do?

I've been looking at this all morning and found there is indeed a visual glitch in the display of nested Tasks in the listing. You'll notice that the Level #5+ Parent in the Task Edit Window is correct but the visual listing display isn't. This means the Task data in the database is stored correctly but not displayed in the correct order and alignment.

I'm current fixing this and will be in the next update release.

A great many thanks for the evidence and information to help me catch this rodent of a bug.

    Forever grateful,

Many thanks, Chris, for your good detective work in tracking down this bug. I appreciate your conscientious support immensely, since it makes all the difference in choosing the software I will eventually use. :-)

Thanks again for being johnny-on-the-spot with your feedback and bug fixes! :-D

Also, will the application automatically notify us when another update is ready? Or do we need to check for updates manually?

  5. FYI, a recurrence of this nesting bug has been documented in the bug tracker:
