[Solved] Importing bookmarks problem

  1. 4 years ago

    Hi,

I am having a problem to import bookmarks. I have tried to import my raindrop´s bookmarks. To do that, first I have tried to import them directly to doogiePIM like an HTML file. The problem is that some folders and bookmarks letters are incorrectly written. I know I am not explaining very well, so look to this image to understand what I am trying to say. https://postimg.cc/PLnL7JWg

Then I have tried importing the raindrop bookmarks to Chrome. In Chrome, I have not this problem, the bookmarks and the folders are well written. Then I have tried to import the bookmarks from Chrome to doogiePIM, but the result has been the same that in the first case.

    Thanks for your attention.

This is a Unicode glitch. Thanks for noticing it.
I've fixed this today but will upload a new version on Monday Wednesday afternoon so it includes some other fixes and browser security updates.

I also saw this problem yesterday when I tried to import bookmarks from Chrome via HTML. Any text in Russian was unreadable.

I've tested the new version 2.1.1.7 with a HTML file generated from Chrome, Opera and Firefox. All appear to be importing correctly now with Unicode characters.

Please test this on a new database before you commit to your live production database.

  6. It´s working. Thanks.
