I have all my language settings configured to English in both Windows as well as in DoogiePIM, yet from time to time, my quote of the day on my DoogiePIM Hompage appears in Chinese.
This is an example of todays (Is there a way to prevent this?):

Indeed a curious situation. The investigations begin....

Many thanks for reporting this anomaly.

I've just found this, and want to say that I have a similar issue. If I attempt to add text in a journal entry, it will always appear as Chinese (I suppose - it's an Asian 'pictorial' language, anyway), even though my keyboard etc is 'English'. I can force it back to English if I change the default font, but why does it do this? And even the change isn't a simple change - I have to delete the Chinese characters first; change the font (I'll usually use Arial, although I don't know if this is specific) and then start typing the note. I'm using v3, so it suggests the problem has moved over from v2?

  4. Oops - sorry - it's a CALENDAR event where the Chinese characters appear - not a Journal event. The default font is Sergo UI 12 point.

    1. Which version of Windows are you using?
    2. Are you sure the font reads as "Sergo UI" and not "Segoe UI"?

As soon as you let me know your operating system, I'll load up a virtual machine and try to replicate the issue.

    Thanks Mike.

Chris - sincere apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I could make lots of excuses but won't!

So, the font is Segoe UI (more apologies!) and my OS is Windows 10 Pro v21H1 build 19043.1645.

I tried again just now and it is still showing an Asian language as I type and not normal letters.

This is what I typed and then did a Ctrl C - Ctrl V and this is what it copies as!!

    quick brown fox

Very strange!! I tried changing the font to another (at random - MS Serif 12) but still shows on screen as Asian letters.

I've taken a screen snip of the screen - can I send it to you?

  7. Chris - I sent a screen shot of the problem as a new ticket. Perhaps you can tie these up?

    Thanks - Mike
