Subject line shortens when highlighted [Resolved]

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but when viewing messages in the list, the full subject line shows up until you click on a message and its highlighted, then subject title truncates to a shorter title for some reason. I thought it was something to do with 'Auto Mark Messages as Read...' but even when I disabled that, it still happens, so I guess its not that. Is it a bug? And can it be fixed? Thank you.

I'm not sure I've seen this bug before. Could you perhaps paste or email me some subject line examples that shorten. Before and after.
I wonder if there's a certain character in the subject line that is causing this..... *runs off to read some source code*

Sorry to take so long to reply to this! Yes I also get the 'Contains Attachments' thing too. The subject line goes missing completely when that happens, but that doesn't bother me as much.
The truncated Subject line bug is very random, I actually thought the problem went away when it didn't happpen all the time, but its still happening.

I too can see this happen pretty consistently in my messages inbox as well. I notice that when you select the message, the bold text switches to non-bold but at that time is when the subject line becomes truncated. Not always but appears to happen more times than not. A true mystery to solve.

@RandallG, the bold text switches to non-bold when the 'Auto Mark Message As Read' option is enabled to something other than 'Do Not Change Read Status' (View>Message List Display>Auto Mark Message As Read...). In my case, I disabled that so the text stays bold. The truncated subject line still happens with the bolded text.

Hurrah! I've located the problem of this anomaly and I'm working on it as we speak. I plan to include this fix in the next version build 1.0.2016.90, of which I intend to upload later tonight (UK time).

This is great news! I wonder what was causing that strange bug? I look forward to it being fixed Thank you for persevering with it :)

Yes the .90 fix appears to work fine. No longer truncates subject lines and also reverses any that were truncated, once you re-select them. :-)
