Skins and Colours

I have been playing around with various colour themes to brighten up the various forms and views, without success.

Out of interest Chris, what is the theme or colour scheme you used for the screenshots used in the help?

I'd like to attach a sample, but can't. If you open the help:-
Using doogiePIM > Main Sections > Tasks > Managing Tasks, and scroll down to the 2nd main screenshot.

The Add/Edit Task screenshot has a green header, bluey grey background, with bright blue buttons...

    Thanks.

    John

Randall could answer this one as he did those screenshots.

For those who don't know how to change colour themes, I did make a video on how to do this here:

John, I did in fact use the method that Chris shows in this video, however, when you choose the Base Theme Color or the Toolbar Icon Tint Color , there are two different methods. One is to click directly on the small rectangular color box and then be offered a color gradient chooser. The second way is to click the down arrow just to the right of the color box and then click on the "More" at the bottom of that configuration window and choose different gradients of colors you like. There's literally hundred of shades and/or gradients you can pick from. See my example below (from clicking right on the color box). For the icons I chose a brighter blue color using "More". The header color was set from my Windows Desktop theme that changed the accent colors automatically. This is why several examples have different header colors. Had I realized that when I began working on the help, I would have selected a single and constant color. But at any rate, you can change that by using Accent from, right clicking the desktop, Click on Personalize, then click on Colors in the left column. This changes all your windows borders and headers as well. There are so many different ways to customize doogiePIM. Experiment and have fun with it. Enjoy!
This is an image of my color chooser and the values of that specific color used in the help examples.

  4. Thanks Randall.

I have played around and cannot re-create your theme, but I have improved it somewhat.

    Thanks for your notes.

I just added the example images for colors used in the Help file. Maybe that will assist?

  6. Thank you Randall. That did indeed help.

    Many thanks.

    John.
