Really want to make this work

  1. 2 years ago

I really like the feel of doogiePIM and was almost willing to purchase it in spite of it not periodically looking for new messages (hasn't yet). I was even willing to overlook the fact that clicking on a message may result in the subject being deleted - hoping this will be fixed soon. Even willing to purchase in spite of some other issues but I can't use it if I can't read messages with images. My settings are to the not recommended allow all images. I even click on "show this message images" and yes, I usually do get the images but I also get paragraphs that, instead of going from side to side, are only 1-3 letters wide. Can someone help me resolve this?

shdytxmn - The problem with the subject line changing size was fixed several updates ago. As of 11-10-16, the latest version of doogiePIM is 1.0.4.1. You can download the updated Installer HERE ---> 1.0.4.0
As for the looking for new messages, this is set up from the top menu, "Tools | Settings and Preferences, Messages". See attachment below for an example. (As for the message images, I'm sure the developer will respond as soon as possible).

The feature of viewing images inside the individual email window is currently being worked on. Hopefully within the next couple of versions.

Your report ticket will be updated accordingly here:

The automatic checking of email has certainly got me perplexed. You say you can check your email manually but the timer doesn't do it for you! I'm still trying to figure this one out. Please check again, can you receive email using doogiePIM by using the command "Check for new messages" in the Messages top main menu.

Also, enable the [Settings & Preferences]/[Alert Message]/[Only show if there's an error]
This will then show the alert with an error message, if any. If there's none, then set it back to your preference. If there is, please let us know what that message was.

  4. Yes, I can receive one or multiple emails by using the command. This is true with the computer I am now using, a Win10 machine or the one at work, a Win7 machine.

Alert message already set to only show if there is an error. No errors reported.

I would love to know if the new version 1.0.5 has fixed your problems of e-mail preview images and automatic checking of messages. If you require any further assistance, just drop a message on this community forum thread.
